If you have left the Civil Service and have not yet claimed your pension, you are known as a deferred member.

You can use the Retirement Modeller to estimate your pension. You can access the Retirement Modeller via the Pension Portal.
If you want to claim your pension, please complete the Online Change of Details and Retirement Form – Deferred Members at least 4 months before your planned retirement date.
If you have worked for the Civil Service, you may be entitled to a Civil Service pension. Follow the steps below to trace your pension.

Your pension will have yearly cost of living increases, known as Pension Increases, added. This will be added to your pension if you are aged 55 or over when you claim your pension.

When you left, you should have received a statement of your pension benefits.

If you still work for the Civil Service, you need to change your details by informing your employer, who will then share your new details with us
If you’re receiving your pension, please complete the Online change of details form – pensioners.
If you live outside the UK, you’ll also need to complete an Overseas Payment Mandate and send it to us along with completing the Online change of details form – pensioners.
If you’ve left the Civil Service and have an unclaimed Civil Service pension, we will ask for your bank details during the retirement process.
